CAREER
Biles answered the calling to become a gymnast at the age of eight. Her mentor is artistic gymnastics coach, Aimee Boorman. Biles made her junior debut at the American Classic in Texas in 2011. She won her first title at the Visa Championships in 2012. She also placed first at the 2012 Secret U.S. Classic for all-around and vault.
At the senior level, Biles competed and secured her first gold at the 2013 World Championships. She’s a 3x world all-around champion, 3x world floor champion, and 4x US national all-around champion. Biles has a total of 10 gold medals in the World Championships. She won a 2016 ESPY award nomination for Best Female Athlete.
