This week will see a slew of highly anticipated releases. Kareena Kapoor Khan will appear in the much-talked-about Jaane Jaan. The film marks her streaming debut. Meanwhile, on the big screen, Vicky Kaushal stars in The Great Indian Family and Shilpa Shetty leads Sukhee. In terms of series, the week offers The Continental: From the World of John Wick and Sex Education’s final season.

Jaane Jaan


Sujoy Ghosh's upcoming film Jaane Jaan marks Kareena Kapoor Khan's OTT debut. The mystery thriller will see the actress share screen space with Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat is an adaptation of the bestselling novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Japanese author Keigo Hogashino. The film will see Kareena's Maya D'Souza as the enigmatic prime suspect in a murder investigation. Vijay plays a cop tasked with solving the case while Jaideep plays a neighbour who gets himself involved with Maya. The trailer, set to a version of the popular song Jaane Jaan, teases a slew of dark secrets and mysteries.

The Great Indian Family


After Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky Kaushal is set to appear in the family comedy film The Great Indian Family. The Vikas Krishna Acharya directorial will see Kaushal play Ved Vyas Tripathi aka Bhajan Kumar, a religious man from a small town who faces an identity crisis when he finds out that he was a Muslim at birth.

Sukhee


Shilpa Shetty stars in and as Sukhee in her next. The film sees her play a woman who does her best to be the perfect wife, mother and daughter-in-law. As the monotony sets in, she decides to take a break from all the conventional responsibilities at home and attend a school reunion. Her absence makes her family realise how much they rely on her. The film promises to resonate with Indian women who have had to fit into the mould and sacrifice their individuality for their families.

Sex Education Season 4


Sex Education Season 4 is one of the most talked about returning shows of the year. This season, it’s time to go to Cavendish Sixth Form College, a whole new setting for Otis and Eric as they embark on the next campus adventure. Between the culture shock and setting up a new clinic, the characters have their hands full. This is the final season of the show and it promises to go out on a drama-filled note.

Song of the Bandits


Set in 1920, Song of the Bandits is a Western-style action-adventure Korean drama that features Kim Nam Gil and Girls’ Generations’ Seohyun, Yoo Jae Myung and others. The story revolves around the clash between the Japanese forces and the Korean Independence Army along with hitmen and bandits who rise in rebellion to protect their land and their people. Opening up about the series, Kim Nam Gil had said in a statement, “I was curious about what kind of synergy would emerge when the historical background and the stories of those struggling to save their families come together.”

The Continental: From the World of John Wick


After four action-filled movies, the Keanu Reeves-led John Wick universe is about to get a new addition in the form of prequel series The Continental: From the World of John Wick. The series which features Colin Woodell, Mel Gibson, Ben Robson and others takes us all the way back to the titular hotel that serves as a neutral ground for assassins. Here. Woodell takes on the role of a Young Winston in New York in the ‘70s.

The Expendables 4


The Expendables are back! The fourth film from the action franchise starring Sylvester Stallone will see the team tasked with stopping a terrorist organisation from smuggling nuclear warheads that will threaten the peace between Russia and the United States. Spy Kids: Armageddon


In Spy Kids: Armageddon, Zachary Levi and Gina Rodriguez who play the world’s greatest secret agents need to be saved by their kids who end up helping a video game developer unleash a dangerous virus that gives the villain control over technology.
